A vizier is a political adviser in Azir, and possibly in Emul as well. Collectively, they are the head clerks of the empire and advisors to the Prime Aqasix.[1] Further, the collective ultimately decides who will be the Prime in Azir.[2]
Lift refers to them as the noodles.[1] She tells Gawx that they're at their worst when they think they're one's friend. That they make assumptions. That they think they know a person, then start to expect things of that person.[3]
She believes that rich people, like the viziers, have strange perspectives on orphanages. That they imagine them full of saintly little children, plucky and good-hearted, eager to work and have a family.[4]
Characteristics[]
Unlike the scions who cannot be Prime, a vizier can, and they tend to have the best applications. Usually, one of their number is chosen.[2]
