A scion is a kind of religious order of scribes at the Azish royal palace.[1] Each man or woman is a governmental official,[2] responsible for the spiritual aspect of the bureaucracy's functionality. They bless formal meetings and interpret omens and events to discern the will of the Kadasix.[3] They also serve as clerks.
Scions can be found in all ranks of the bureaucracy, with the most influential serving as members of the Prime Aqasix's circle of advisors, along with the viziers.[1][4]
According to Gawx, a scion cannot be Prime Aqasix, as each is too busy visiting and blessing villages around the kingdom of Yeddaw.[3]
