Naget is a darkeyed Alethi farmer from Hearthstone. He is amongst the boys that Kaladin addresses at the foot of a hill in a field where they should've been worming. (Farmers usually went over their hills three or four times, fertilizing as they went.)[1]
Naget states to Kaladin that he (Kaladin) knows things, about the world and such. Further, he asks Kaladin if he (Kaladin) had heard of a darkeyes becoming a lighteyes. Kaladin responds in the affirmative, that wealthy darkeyed merchants marry lowborn lighteyes and join their family, then maybe have lighteyed children.[1]
