Point of view: Lift, Wyndle
Setting: Yeddaw

Arriving at the orphanage, Lift sees that the Stump has let the children out to play. Most are mentally or physically handicapped.

Wyndle insists that the palace in Azir was not the stifling experience she implies. She admits the same but knows it was for Gawx. She doesn't want people expecting much from her.

Lift thinks it weird that one could forget she was in another country until one saw the different cremlings. She walks over to the same old man as before and asks him how he knows what to do; how what the secret is to being human. He says he doesn't know. They converse a short time until she decides his brain is addled and turns to go.
